Relax Gaming has released five main Money Train slots: Money Train (2019), Money Train 2 (2020), Money Train 3 (2022), Money Train 4 (2023) and Money Train 5 (September 2026). Each one keeps the Money Cart bonus, where character symbols such as the Collector, Payer and Sniper build up cash values over a few respins, and the first four each raised the stated maximum win: from 20,000x the bet in the original to 150,000x in Money Train 4.
Money Train 2 is the one most players start with, and the only one with a published RTP (96.4%). Relax describes Money Train, Money Train 3 and Money Train 4 as high volatility, and Money Train 2 is listed as High, so expect long dry runs and rare big bonuses. Money Train 4 was billed as the last stand in 2023, but Relax brought the series back with Money Train 5.

Relax does not publish a default RTP on these pages, so the table leaves it out. Our catalogue lists 96.4% for Money Train 2. For the others, open the game's info screen at your casino: it shows the RTP of the version that casino runs.
A spin-off, Money Train Origins Dream Drop (2023), goes back to the 40-line format and adds Relax's Dream Drop jackpots on top of a win cap of 10,000x the stake.
Same Money Train, different RTP
Relax's own game pages show that the series comes in more than one RTP version. Money Train and Money Train 2 list a German version at 90%. Money Train 3 lists a German version at 90.00% and an alternative at 94.00%. Money Train 5 lists several alternative game versions for different markets. The game looks the same in each; only the info screen tells you which one you are on.
That choice costs more than the gap between any two sequels. Average cost = total staked × (100% − RTP):

Money Train vs Money Train 2
Both use a 5×4 grid with 40 lines. The original took its Wild West gang to a Money Cart bonus that starts when bonus symbols land on reels 1, 3 and 5, with a buy feature to skip straight to it. Relax calls it high volatility, with wins up to 20,000x.
Money Train 2 moved the gang to a steampunk, post-apocalyptic setting and raised the cap to 50,000x. It added two things:
- Base-game respins. Two bonus symbols anywhere trigger respins where bonus symbols reveal multipliers that add together and apply to the win. Relax says it added them in response to feedback on the original.
- Persistent characters. In the Money Cart round, persistent characters act on every spin instead of once. The Sniper doubles up to 8 symbols, the Necromancer brings spent characters back, and a full reel opens an extra column (up to two).
Money Train 2 is the version to try first: the bonus is easier to read than in the later games, and we list it at 96.4% RTP and High volatility.
Money Train 3 and Money Train 4
Money Train 3 keeps 40 fixed lines and raises the cap to 100,000x. New symbols include the Persistent Shapeshifter (turns into a different feature each spin), the Absorber (soaks up multipliers and adds them to itself) and the Tommy Gun. Bonus symbols can now land anywhere on the reels to start the Money Cart. It also sells four bonus buys: a 100x buy, a 2-spin bonus, a 1-spin bonus and a 500x Persistent Bonus.
Money Train 4 is the biggest change in the series: it drops paylines for scatter pays and lists more than 20 features, with a cap of 150,000x the stake. The Arms Dealer swaps bonus symbols for features, the Upgrader makes features persistent, the Unlocker opens extra rows and the Reset refills the spin counter. In some markets you can buy the bonus, which then starts with one persistent symbol.
Money Train 5: two modes
Relax released Money Train 5 on 24 September 2026. It returns to a 5×4 grid with 40 lines and adds a Nuclear Wild in the base game that can lock onto reels and turn them fully wild. In the bonus, each symbol adds a multiplier and three spins, and Ticket symbols move the train through stations.
It is the first game in the series with two modes. Standard mode caps wins at 50,000x the bet; Ultra mode raises the cap to 100,000x. Relax lists a lower maximum bet for Ultra mode than for Standard, and several buy options. Check the RTP for each mode in the game's info screen, as Relax does not list it on the game page.
Bonus buys and caps in shillings
Bonus buys are priced as a multiple of your bet, so they climb fast. At a KSh 20 base bet:
